Vison Statement

I am inspired by the wide variety of mediums that can be used to express artistic creativity. The collection of mediums show the connection to art and how art is constantly around us. It isn’t just pencil on paper, it is the life we live. The beauty of art is that through these mediums, you can capture not just reality but the unknown or what may seem impossible. You can capture the imagination, which can be contrary to reality. As a child I was fascinated with the two big unknowns. The ocean and space. I regularly wondered what was out there and how much we really know and actively used my imagination. We will never have the answers to these questions, but I still often find myself pondering “what is up there?” My portfolio consists of ideas and sentiments from my childhood as well as the recognition of growing up and following dreams. The Idea of the bliss of childhood and the undeniable fact of aging. My goal is to share the importance of childhood and creativity and the fundamental need to grow and nurture the human imagination from childhood and into adult life.
